Trevor the black labYou often hear about us talking about our Pet Haven dogs that we foster at Pampered Pooch Playground. Today we got some really good news that our last foster dog, Trevor, just got adopted! We are so excited for him and his new home. You can read more about Trevor on the Pet Haven Blog.   Trevor was also featured in the Pet Haven fall benefit!

Now, we are working on finding Pepper, our current foster dog a home!  Many of you might have gotten to meet pepper, he loves to hang out in our employees break room, and loves to watch people come in the lobby!  You can also read more about Pepper here.

Tank is one of the regular faces who boards in our hotel.  Tank might be one of the older guys, but he enjoys being around the smaller dogs and likes to watch them play.

There are many doggy daycares that look at our business model and want to know how we do things.  There is a new dog daycare that is opening in Chicago, and they wanted me to come in and install their webcams.  I love to help out a new business, and really enjoy helping them out, plus it is always fun to see other dog daycares and how they do things.  So this weekend I am in Chicago installing webcams.

Oh, we have something really cool in the works for the Super Bowl, we are working on our own version of the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl.  The website is not up yet, but you can become a fan on facebook.

Have a good weekend!

dalmation mixKiko (dalmatian mix) has spent the last 9 nights boarding with us in our dog hotel and enjoys spending time with the smaller dogs.   The highlight of my day was when Kiko was reunited with his family in our lobby today.  She was so excited to see everyone!  I can’t wait for her to come back soon!

On a side note, Penny and Charlie’s mom is very involved with the Taste of the NFL  Join them this Friday at the Mall of America, as they try to fight hunger, and you have a chance to win tickets to the Superbowl.   For more information you can visit their website.Kiko

Have a good night.

toy poodleKoko, the toy poodle is one of the dogs that comes for both dog daycare and boarding.  Koko just had a photo shoot with our friends at Modern Life Photography and he was modeling his various jackets!  Koko knows how to work it for the camera.

Roxy the dog playing in the snowWe hope that everyone had a great time ringing in 2010!  For our overnight boarding dogs, everyone enjoyed a special treat before bed ;)

Today I was just lounging around looking at websites, and I went to Sara Beth Photography’s blog, and guess who is on the front of it?  You guessed it, Sarah finally edited the photo shoot that she took with us and they all turned out AMAZING.  To see more of the pictures, just view her blog.  Oh, feel free to leave comments, Roxy loves to hear how pretty she looks :)   OK, truth be told, I did not randomly stumble on this blog post, Sara told me about it!

Happy new year!

hogan the dog daycare dogToday Hogan took a few minutes from playing with all the dogs to take a picture in the “castle”.  Hogan has been boarding with us for about a week and he really enjoys dog daycare!  Hogan does great with the big and small dogs and gets really excited when Trycia enters the room.

Looking for training?  Heather has a bunch of classes starting next week.  Details are on the dog training page.

Have a good night!

Today was another big day for our dog daycare and hotel guests.  The day started out with our hotel dogs helping me shovel our outside play area.  We shovel an area for some of our smaller dogs or dogs that don’t like the snow.  It was great to see the happiness in the dogs when they ran outside and saw all of the snow. Then later in the morning, Trycia and I bundled up and brought the daycare dogs outside for a long play session.  They had so much fun tearing it up in the snow.  We put a few videos on our facebook fan page.

Did you catch us on the FOX 9 Morning News today?  M.A. Rosco stopped out to show off what it was like to do doga.  If you missed the clip, you can watch it by clicking here.

This morning I received a frantic call from Max and Luxy’s mom (Max is the black dog and Lucy is the brown one in the picture).  The other day she was telling me about Max and how he learned to open the front door of her house (including the deadbolt).  Today, he opened it and was sitting outside when her neighbor called.  Then she decided that Max and Lucy needed to come to doggy daycare today. Max has not figured out how to open our doors yet :)

Have a good night!

This past weekend, 2 Shar-pei’s spent Thanksgiving with is. Penny Lane is the tan one, and Jude is the black one. Jude gets really, really excited when I walk into the daycare room, he is the first one to run up and say hello! Once you start petting these 2, they don’t let you stop. Over the weekend, we were sitting on some of the equipment in the Zen Den and Jude was right there next to me.  It takes these guys a little while to open up with new people, but the minute they open up, they are all love!!

Today, we sent out a friendly reminder to make reservations for the holidays. We are 99% full for the 25th, so hurry and make that reservation.

Have a good night!
