Little Max hanging out in the Canine Cove at doggy daycare!
Max is a Shihtzupoo, who has been coming to doggy daycare since he was a puppy. We still remember the first day he came, Max’s owner was sick and needed to take him somewhere to get some energy out. The owner was adamant that it was a one time thing, and Max probably wouldn’t be returning once she felt better. However, the very next week Max came back! Max’s owner realized how much he loved playing with other dogs, and she also loved that he came home tired! He can now be found hanging out in the Canine Cove three days a week. He has made many friends at PPP, but some of his “besties” include Fritz and Stella. Max is also referred to as “little Max” to distinguish him from the other Max’s that frequent the daycare.
When he is not playing with all of his doggy daycare friends, little max loves the beds!
I think Max is one of the most popular dog names, so sometime we get creative when describing which max is which. Meet “Little Max”, while he might not be the smallest Max who comes to doggy daycare, everyone know which Max he is! Last Friday he celebrated his Birthday at Pampered Pooch Playground with all of his doggy daycare friends! When not playing with all of his doggy friends, he loves to lay on the bed in the Canine Cove.
On a side note, we try really hard to treat our doggy daycare staff like family and create a fun workplace! One of our past employees (Erin O), moved back to Chicago this past summer and she was looking for jobs. My friends doggy daycare was looking for a new employee, and today is her first day working there! How cool is that?!

Say hello to Max the Bernese Mountain Dog. His mom lives out of state and travels to Minneapolis for the summer and last summer he was a 6 month old puppy when he left to go back home for the winter. When he walked in last week to check in for his hotel visit, i did not even recognize him because he is now full grown!! Max is one energetic dog and enjoys playing in all the rooms! Today we had 2 other Bernese Mountain Dogs and they were all laying down by each other. By the time I ran to our office to get my phone to take a picture, they had moved!
