Pampered Pooch Playground was featured in the AAA Living magazine as one of the “Must Visit” dog places in Minneapolis.
Today I was able to sneak out of the doggy daycare for about an hour for a very important meeting. For the past 4 months, we have been working hard with a few of the other premier doggy daycares in the area to form a group to help set standards of care and service for daycares in the Twin Cities. We believe that working together we can help educate people on what makes a quality doggy daycare, and what you should ask and look for when you select one. In the next week, we will be launching the website that will be filled with lots of information for dog parents. We will talk more about this soon, but I left the meeting very excited about the future and what we have planned.
While I was out at the meeting, Gracie was getting groomed by Tami! Gracie belongs to Sarah from Sarah Beth Photography! I brought Gracie home with me tonight because Trycia and Sarah were doing a boutique crawl with friends in Uptown. Gracie and Roxy spent the night fighting for my attention. It was cute!
Have a good day!
Tonight there was a dog friendly event at the Apple Store in Minneapolis
(uptown). Many of you know how much I love Apple, and all the employees were loving our iPhone app, Pooch Vision (we were the first daycare and still one of the few that has their own app). The Apple Store is always dog friendly, but it was pretty cool to see 30 dogs all behaved and having fun there! Our friends from Sidewalk Dog
gave a preview of their new website, and Sarah Beth Photography
talked about how she edits photos on a Mac.
After we left this great event, Trycia and I walked a few feet down the street and decided to stop and get a drink. What I really love about Minneapolis is how dog friendly it is! So here we are sitting on the patio drinking with Roxy next to us (well sometimes she decided it was a good idea to lay in the sidewalk!!).
Now I need to apologize for not blogging much this week! I have been battling a pretty nasty sinus infection and just wanted to take it easy!!
Have a good night!
Get ready Twin Cities. One of my favorite events of the year is back and bigger than ever; the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl
! Last Year Pampered Pooch Playground was a main sponsor of the event, and this year we have moved aside, and let our other business, Bubbly Paws Dog Wash
sponsor it. Also part of the event are Sarah Beth Photography
, Sidewalk Dog
and Just Paws Training
. We will be filming all the puppy cuteness this weekend and it will be released online very soon! Look for some pictures this weekend from the filming! Most of the puppies featured in the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl are available for adoption from local rescues. As we always talk about, one of the core values of Pampered Pooch Playground is to give back to the community in which we are located and this is just one way that we do it. If you want to watch some of the puppy cuteness from last year, you can watch the video on the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl
Have a good night!
Sarah Beth, Jessie and Trycia all enjoy a drink at the Red Stag Supper Club in Minneapolis
Last night we went to the opening of the Stray Dog Arts gallery at the Bulldog in NE. Minneapolis. Featured is the work of PPP customer Jessie Marianiello and all the dogs painted were bulldogs.. Get it, Bulldogs at the Bulldog. Creative! Anyway there were lots of people from the pet Minneapolis pet industry there, and we went out for dinner and drinks after the show with some of our friends from Bone Adventure, Sarah Beth Photography, Lucky Mutt Photography and yes, Jessie the artist!
Tonight we have the Pet Haven Fall benefit, so I need to go rest up!
Have a good day!
Staci Matthews from the KS95 Moon and Staci show hosted the costume contest. Staci and I worked together for 5 years prior to opening Pampered Pooch Playground!
Our 3rd annual Woof-n-Treat halloween party was a HUGE success! The Pet Project was able to raise over $1449.00 which will go directly to vet care and food for those pet owners in need! There were so many awesome costumes and everyone had a great time in the costume contest. Sarah Beth Photography was walking around snapping pictures of the event and we will have them up very soon. Each of the businesses at the event had to have a game for everyone to play, and my personal favorite was the one that Bone Adventure did. I don’t even know how to describe their game other than random and fun!
Jackson the black lab has been spending the night in out Pooch Hotel!
Today I spent most of the afternoon getting ready for a big event weekend!! This weekend Pampered Pooch Playground is the “Top Dog” sponsor of the Linden Hills Woofstock. This is one of my favorite dog events of the year an this is the reason we are sponsoring it 2 years in a row! Woofstock is actually one of the reasons that we moved to Linden Hills! Stop out at the Pampered Pooch Playground booth and have your picture taken in our “old school” photo booth. We are also sponsoring the warm water dog wash with all the money raised going to the Pet Project. While you are there make sure you stop over and check out all of our friends businesses. Bubbly Paws Self Service Dog Wash, Modern Life Photography, Sidewalk Dog, Sarah Beth Photography, K9- Connection. All of these are great LOCAL business that we love to work with. Make sure to stop over and say hi, and pick up some of the goodies we have
Trycia spent the morning taking new pictures of the daycare dogs! For the new pictures, make sure to check out our September photo gallery!
Have a good night!
I love when the Twin Cities dog community comes together for a fun time. Last night Molly Feeney who owns Just Paws Puppy Training
got married, and lots of our friends were at the reception. In the picture are Sarah (Sarah Beth Photography
), Trycia (Pampered Pooch Playground
) and Ali (Sidewalk Dog
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Today Gracie (miniature schnauzer
) stopped in for her spa and grooming
appointment with Tami our groomer. I walked back to check on Gracie after her bath and she was hanging out in the dryer and she seemed to love having the air blow on her. She looked so happy! Gracie belongs to Sarah, who runs Sarah Beth Photography
. After she picked up gracie, we went out for dinner with us while Gracie and Roxy stayed at our house. We ate at Cafe 28
which is down the street from our house in Linden Hills and we saw the banners she designed for Woofstock
. We are really excited to be a sponsor of this great event. Side note about Sarah Beth.. Mention the PPP and you save 10% on a session.
Have a great night!
