How many baths?

Beau, Schatzie and Buster enjoying the cuddle corner at doggy daycare Yesterday and today we had lots of baths for our dog hotel guests.  After 5 nights we do a free bath before each dog goes home!  Yesterday, Vanessa, one of the original PPP staff members rocked the bath tub!  She was at it for about 3 hours yesterday morning, and she did an awesome job!  Today, Trycia, Vaness and I were taking care of the baths.  Lots of baths, and lots of great smelling dogs :).  We had so many baths today, the we almost ran out of the Topline Shampoo that we use in our spa!  Do you like that shampoo and conditioner?  We sell it in our lobby and on Amazon.com.  Good thing they are a local company, and they will be dropping off more tomorrow.

Have a good night.

Way to go Amazon.com!

Amazon.comThe other day I blogged about a recent purchase from Amazon.com and how their shipping policy was the craziest thing I had ever seen.  I ordered 12 (2 packs) of AA Batteries and each one was shipped in a different box with lots of bubble packing.  Each box was about 30 times the size of the batteries.  Why could they not put all of the items into one box.  Oh well, the UPS guy and I had a great laugh when I opened it up to show him what was in the box. Sorry that this post is not about the dogs.  Today I left early to pick up our new floor scrubber to clean the floors each night. We have one, but we purchased it used and it is about to break, so I drove 1.5 hours away and brought it back to our daycare.  Our cleaning staff will be so excited.

Have a good night.

A few random thoughts.

sodasnap This weekend Trycia and I went away to Duluth for a few days and I am sitting in the lobby of the hotel sipping a coffee and a few thoughts from the week came to me:

1- I ordered a bunch of items (9) for the daycare from Amazon.com all of which were the same and very small.  I just logged in to track their progress and they all came from the same warehouse, and Amazon decided to put each one in their own box.  So now the UPS man will be delivering 9 boxes rather than 1.  Come on Amazon, what are you thinking, try going green!  When we order products for the doggy daycare, we try to find the most green option out there.

2- Last night we went out to Fitger's brewhouse for dinner and while sitting on the patio we started to talk to some people who just came in with their dog.  They said that they were also from Minneapolis and I made the comment of how much more dog friendly Minneapolis is than Duluth.  Minneapolis places in the top 10 list of dog friendly cities in the United States.  If you are looking for dog friendly places in Minneapolis, make sure to check out Sidewalk Dog.  After talking to these people more, we found out that they go to one of the Minneapolis dog parks and know one of our dogs that comes to daycare pretty often.  Talk about random.

That is about all for now!  Have a great sunday!
