Meet the Crew - Jess

Name: Jess!

Length of time working here: Dog Handler since November 2012, Manager since July 2013

Do you have any pets?

I recently adopted my first dog Mackerel AKA Mack!!! He's a basset hound/vizsla mix that can frequently be found jumping on people in the lobby :p

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I coach the Mounds View High School dance team when I'm not at PPP, which I really enjoy. Otherwise, I like to hang out in the city with my buddy, Mack! :)

What is your favorite part about working at PPP?

We have awesome customers so since I began managing I've really enjoyed getting to know them and their pups! I also love getting to know the dogs and their quirks! :) They all have their own unique personalities!

Funniest/Favorite PPP moment:

Probably injuring myself within 30 seconds of being at Skyzone for our staff Christmas party! I've rightfully earned the title of the "accident prone" employee at PPP. :p

Lilly the Basset Hound at Doggy Daycare in Minneapolis,mnLilly, the Basset Hound, has been coming to the Pampered Pooch Playground for over 3 years, and enjoys hanging out in the Canine Cove.  Summer is one of her favorite months because she gets to sunbath in our outdoor play area, and play with the sprinkler.  One of  Lilly's talents is "show me your belly", where she rolls over on her back with her feet up in the air (check out our photo gallery for a picture of Lilly doing this). Lilly is also a regular in the PPP hotel and her parents love to watch her on the luxury suite webcam.  Each day when Lilly comes in her dad gives her a carrot before she gets to go see all of her friends! We love Lilly and glad she is part of the PPP family!

An end to a busy week.

8125_150219206851_23604646851_3194512_2156402_nWhoa, can you believe that fall is finally here?  We turned on the heat at the daycare for the first time today, and that is when it hit me that the nice warm weather is gone!!  Lilly, the basset hound is a regular face in doggy daycare, but this weekend she is staying in our hotel.  Lilly loves LOTS of attention and lots of belly rubs!  Lilly also knows the command "where's your belly" and she will roll over on her back so you can rub it. We are busy getting all ready for Monday, which is sure to be a big hit!  We sold off the naming rights to the Pampered Pooch Playground webcam blimp, to  It will be now known as the Webcam Blimp.  We launched it today, and it seems to be working good.  Visit our website on Monday to watch the video from it.

Also next week, our good friend Jessie from Stray Dog Arts will be making a trip to Red Lake Rosies rescue and is asking for donations.  Starting Monday, we will have a bin in the lobby for donations.  They are looking for just about anything from dog food, cat food, leashes, collars, bleach and laundry detergent.  For more information on Red Lake Rosies, you can visit their website. Please have all donations dropped off by noon on Friday.

Have a great weekend!
