What a Fix!

Sadie the pug Yesterday around noon, I was sitting in our office and heard what sounded like a jet engine taking off.  Melissa, one of our managers stopped in the office and heard the same thing, and I started to figure out what it was.  It was the computer that powers the webcams.  We have a backup computer for the high speed cameras, but the slow speed ones had to be shut down.  I shut down the computer for 30 minutes, thinking it was just a fan that needed a break, and when i turned it back on, the same noise happened.  Since it is a Mac computer, I made an appointment at the Apple store in Minneapolis (they are really dog friendly).  They took the computer back and found something to be defective and it will be replaced free of charge!  While it is being worked on, I updated our backup computer so all the cameras (high and low speed) are working, but you might notice just a little slower performance than normal.

A big thanks to the staff of the Apple store for some great service.  While I was waiting for everything to be looked at, I was showing off our iPhone app and they were loving it!

Have a good day!

Outstanding Customer Service

mini Australian ShepardOver the past few days, our doggy daycare software has been bugging out and acting strange.  So today, the tech support department from the software company was logged on to our computers for about 6 hours trying to fix the problems.  They fixed it and also upgraded us to the latest version of the software which is going to have some really cool features you can take advantage of in the next few months.  I was impressed that they would take almost the entire day to work out our little problems.  I could understand if we were a national franchise or a place that had multiple locations, but we are not.  Thanks guys!  I have never seen our computers move so fast. After they logged off, I had to re-setup our printers, and I am not quite as fast as the tech support department is.  It took me almost 2 hours to get it going!

Nittany who is in the picture is a mini Australian Shepard who comes to doggy daycare a few times each week.

Have a good night.

Tobler

toblerTobler is one of our most energetic labs that comes to dog day care a few days a week.  From the minute Tobler gets out of the car he can't wait to run in and play with all of his friends!  He also runs past me and goes straight to the door that takes him into the play area! Tobler has been staying in our Hotel and he went home today.  I really thought that after a few days playing with the dogs, he would be tired, but boy was I wrong!! Today I spent a majority of the day testing out some new software.  There are lots of great features, many of which I think many of you will enjoy.  I just want to make sure it is worth switching and that it is easy enough for everyone to use and that the switch would be seamless if we decided to go with it.

Have a good night.
