dog friendly

Finally Spring!

photoFinally!  Today is the first day that it really felt like Spring was here to stay!  Trycia's family was in town this weekend and we had fun showing them around the Twin Cities.  We always tell them how dog friendly Minneapolis is, but today they got to see it first hand!  We took Roxy shopping in Uptown, and everyone had so much fun!  The highlight was the Apple Store and I really have to give them credit for how dog friendly they are.  They have 2 water dishes right as you walk in!  Roxy loved it!  Just think.. Only a few more weeks until the dog friendly patios open!  Soon, we will give you our reviews of the best dog friendly patios in the Twin Cities. Have a good night!

Gettin' My Hair Did

Cheech at the Julia Brety Hair Salon in Edina, MNI really love to support customers that support us!  One of our first doggy daycare dogs was Cosi, the French Bulldog and her mom is a hair dresser.  So Trycia and I both go to her to get our hair done.  Her mom, Michaela works at the Julia Bretey Salon at 50th and France in Edina.  When I was getting my hair cut today, I noticed this little puff ball  named Cheech who was sitting so perfectly on a stool.  Cheech belongs to one of the hair dressers there!  I really love going to places that let employees bring their dogs to work!  They have told us that we can Bring Roxy, but I think she is a little too large to sit on that stool :) . So, if you are in need of a great hair stylist that has 2 really cool dogs, call Michaela! Have a great night!

Fun at the Uptown Art Fair

Uptown Art Fair, Minneapolis, MN - Dog FriendlyThe weather is perfect for the Uptown Art Fair this weekend!  Trycia and I were there yesterday with some of our friends.  As we were walking around we saw a bunch of our customers and their dogs at the fair.  I know I have mentioned this before, but I really LOVE how dog friendly Minneapolis is! Even some of the artists started getting into the "dog friendly city" by offering water and treats at their booths.  Hope everyone had a good weekend and that you were able to spend some quality time with your pooch! Apple Store and Drinks with Roxy

Roxy out for drinks in Minneapolis, MNTonight there was a dog friendly event at the Apple Store in Minneapolis (uptown).  Many of you know how much I love Apple, and all the employees were loving our  iPhone app, Pooch Vision (we were the first daycare and still one of the few that has their own app).  The Apple Store is always dog friendly, but it was pretty cool to see 30 dogs all behaved and having fun there!  Our friends from Sidewalk Dog gave a preview of their new website, and Sarah Beth Photography talked about how she edits photos on a Mac. After we left this great event, Trycia and I walked a few feet down the street and decided to stop and get a drink.  What I really love about Minneapolis is how dog friendly it is!  So here we are sitting on the patio drinking with Roxy next to us (well sometimes she decided it was a good idea to lay in the sidewalk!!).

Now I need to apologize for not blogging much this week!  I have been battling a pretty nasty sinus infection and just wanted to take it easy!!

Have a good night!

Keith's Minneapolis Tour on MSN.com

roxy at yappy hour It is now secret, we love to take Roxy as many places as we possibly can!  The people from MSN contacted me this past fall and wanted me to tell them where all the cool dog friendly places are.  Check out the video that they just released by clicking here.  There are so many great places to go, I feel bad that I could not list all of them in the video!

Ember and Little Max

Ember and Max outside at doggy daycare Ok, since it has been raining the past 2 days, I decided we needed to have a bright picture on the blog to make us think of warmer times!  So here ya go!

It has been a crazy 2 days with media attention for Pampered Pooch Playground.  Yesterday morning KARE 11 stopped out for our doggy halloween costume fashion show.  After they left, a film crew from LA stopped out and they will be filming through the end of the day today!   Roxy and I are being featured on a web series for Buick and Bing and we are showing off all of the dog friendly businesses in the Twin Cities.  Pretty cool!  This web series will launch in January and I will share more details when I am able to.  We got out of the car at a resturant yesterday, and I felt like we were on TMZ!  There were 5 video cameras and a guy with a big microphone!  Roxy thought she was a rockstar!  So that is why I have been a little MIA from the PPP!

Ok, time to put the finishing touches on the Woof-n-Treat party!

Doggie daycare tech

We stopped a small hotel that ended up being super dog friendly while we were on vacation. I thought that it was pretty cool, from water bowls and treat dispensers in the lobby to a special welcome sign for the pooch. I wish we would have brought Roxy with us! List night we stopped for a drink with and started to talk to a woman who takes her dog to a doggy daycare here in Seattle. I asked if her daycare had an iPhone app, and she said "NO" and instantly Tweeted her husband who is a big wig at Microsoft. She was really upset that they did not have an app! I also mentioned that we were the first and still one of the only doggy daycares in the country to have an app. Now the next question, how soon until Microsoft builds an app for the doggy daycare world?

Have a good day!
