Meet the Crew - Jess

Name: Jess!

Length of time working here: Dog Handler since November 2012, Manager since July 2013

Do you have any pets?

I recently adopted my first dog Mackerel AKA Mack!!! He's a basset hound/vizsla mix that can frequently be found jumping on people in the lobby :p

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I coach the Mounds View High School dance team when I'm not at PPP, which I really enjoy. Otherwise, I like to hang out in the city with my buddy, Mack! :)

What is your favorite part about working at PPP?

We have awesome customers so since I began managing I've really enjoyed getting to know them and their pups! I also love getting to know the dogs and their quirks! :) They all have their own unique personalities!

Funniest/Favorite PPP moment:

Probably injuring myself within 30 seconds of being at Skyzone for our staff Christmas party! I've rightfully earned the title of the "accident prone" employee at PPP. :p

Dog Poop Problems??

Today I was talking with Jamie who is one of our doggy daycare managers and she was telling me about this apartment building that started DNA testing the dog poop that was not picked up outside their building and sending the owners the bill!  I LOVE this idea.  I do think pet owners need to be responsible, but there are always a few people that think they don't need to be and the apartment building has fixed the problem.  Good job!  Watch the full story below or read more on

Happy Birthday Neddie

neddie the corgiA big PPP birthday shout out goes to Neddie, who can often be seen laying in the lobby on her back, or begging for treats (please don't feed the Neddie).  Neddie belongs to Ellen, who is one of our managers.  Ellen and Neddie worked hard baking homemade treats for all the dogs that came to play today! Have a good night.

PPP lingo

Sandy at doggy daycare in minneapolis,mn Every business has their own terms that people in that industry understand and doggie daycare is the same!  When I was in radio it was all about Ramps, posts, prophet and in's and out's.  We regularly text our managers and the past 2 month's I found myself using the term "kk" on text on a very regular basis.  After researching where it came from, Erin one of our old managers started to use it and it has caught on around the PPP.  Watch out..... Soon it will be national!  There ya go, a little insight into the wonderful world of doggy daycare text messaging!

Have a good night... kk
