PPP on the KARE 11 Morning News

Today was a super early morning for us at Pampered Pooch Playground, but it was well worth it.  Jeff Olson from the KARE 11 Morning News stopped out for a doggy costume fashion show and to promote our Woof-n-Treat halloween party that is a fundraiser for the Pet Project.  Have fun watching the clips below!  You will notice one mistake in the clip.. I called the Puggle Mugsy (who is also staying over in our hotel), and the name should have been Rani.  I am so sorry for the mistake and gave both puggles an extra treat!  Thanks to Bone Adventure for the costumes!

KARE 11 at the PPP Tomorrow

remy ranger and schatzie at doggy daycare KARE 11 News and street reporter Jeff Olson will be at Pampered Pooch Playground bright and early Monday morning (4:45am to be exact) to talk about our Woof and Treat doggy halloween party and the Pet Project.  The halloween party is a fundraiser for the Pet Project and 100% of the money donated goes directly to the pet project.  Tune into KARE 11 starting at 5am on Monday to see us :)

Sorry this is such a short blog post, but I did not want to be up late tonight ;)

What a turnout!

Linden Hills Woofstock Wow!  What a turnout today at Linden Hills Woofstock!  I am not a record kepper, but I would say it was the busiest year yet!! As a Linden Hills resident, I really love to give back to the community in which we live which is why this is our 2nd year sponsoring it!!  On a weekly basis we visit many of the stores in Linden Hills and really do call it our backyard and Woofstock is a great event!! We had an "old school" photo booth at the event, and everyone LOVED it!!  We also had the warm water dog wash with all money raised going to the Pet Project.

Those of you who came out to Woofstock might have picked up on something new that Trycia and I have in the works.  If you walked down the street, outside the Dunn Brothers you might have noticed a dog wash called Bubbly Paws and it was staffed by PPP employees.  Well, we are starting a self service dog wash that will be located at Excelsior and Grand in St Louis Park.  The construction has started and everything should be completed by November 1st.  We are very excited for this new adventure.  This does not mean that the PPP will take back seat, and we will still be at the PPP just as much as we are now.  The PPP will always be run as a family business where you know the owners and get a warm "home like" setting.  This will be just a fun new adventure that we can do on the side.  It was funny to watch peoples reactions when they saw me standing behind the table.  We did not want to mention this to anyone yet because it was not a "done deal", but it is official and it will be pretty sweet!  We also have something in the works for all of our loyal PPP customers when Bubbly Paws opens.  Details soon :)

Ok, time for a quick nap, then we are off to see Wicked!

Have a good night!

What a turnout!

What a turnout we hat for Sushi with your Poochie last night at Tiger Sushi in Uptown Minneapolis. So many of our customers were there, and we got to meet lots of new friends as well.  Sarah Beth Photography was there working her magic with the camera and she will have the pictures online soon.  Kaia who is one of the cattle dog mixes that comes to doggy daycare loved her doggy ice cream!  Kaia was also one of our old foster dogs that found her forever home! After the party was over last night, we started to plan our next big dog event!  As soon as we get all the details worked out, I will let you know what it is.

Have a good day.

Food Drive Update

Last Saturday we sponsored the "Tails Up" food drive for the Pet Project at Fetch Delivers. We raised over 10,000 pounds of food and over $1000 in cash for this great group.  Thanks again to everyone that came out to support them!  In the picture are Jodel from the Ollu Dog Wash and Ali from Sidewalk dog and dogs George (with Santa) and Luk (in my lap). Have a great day!

Nap time on the new bed

Ember and Weenie love the new red beds that we just picked up.  Both dogs come for doggie daycare 3 times a week and love spending some time on the bed together. Some great news from the weekend events.  The food drive we did for the Pet Project raised over 10,000 pounds of food and over $800 in cash.  The Minnesota boxer rescue raised $1000.  We were so proud to be part of both events, and are amazed with the turnout!  If you want to see some of the pictures, Modern Life Photo put them on their blog.

This wednesday, MA Rosco from the FOX 9 morning news will air her feature on DOGA which was shot at Pampered Pooch Playground.  Don't worry, if you can't watch it, we will have all the clips on our website.  Speaking of Doga, the next session is this Saturday morning, details are on our events page.

Looking for a fun holiday website, check out the Singing Ugly Dog website.

Have a great night.

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone that came out to both locations of pictures with Santa.  Both places were a HUGE success and we can't thank everyone enough.  Trycia and I were at the Fetch Delivers location  and, it was great to see lots of our dogs show up and we collected lots of dog food and money for the Pet Project. Our booth was right next to Sarah Beth Photography and we took a break and took a picture ;).  Also in the picture is Luk, who is in my arms, and he belongs to Ali from Sidewalk Dog. One highlight was when Fletcher, one of our doggy daycare dogs (aka @fletchmasterp on twitter) donated a huge supply of dog food that his parents won in an essay contest.   At the Pampered Pooch Playground Matt and Amber from Modern Life Photo were taking pictures for the Boxer Rescue.  Matt texted me about an hour after the event started and said that he was amazed with the turnout! Later in the day, Matt told me that they raised over $1000 for the boxer rescue, and this was the biggest turnout that they have ever had.  We are so excited to have been part of it, and can't wait for next year!  Oh, Roxy had to show up and get her picture taken!!

Have a doog weekend!
