Our new website

Roxy launched the new Pampered Pooch Playground website Some of you might have noticed that we launched our new website today and we LOVE it!  We try to create a fun website that our customers will enjoy using, and make it very easy to navigate.  The biggest factor in designing the new website was the webcams, since this is why most of our customers visit.  We tried to make it as easy as possible to switch between rooms.  There is still a little tweaking and working out some of the bugs.  If you notice any problems please let us know.

As I was cleaning up our server I came across our first website we launched before we opened, all we had on there was stock pictures of random dogs playing at parks.  I am always amazed at how much we have grown, and we could never have done this without all of our great customers!

Have a great night!

Gracie and her spa day

gracie the miniature schnauzerToday Gracie (miniature schnauzer) stopped in for her spa and grooming appointment with Tami our groomer.  I walked back to check on Gracie after her bath and she was hanging out in the dryer and she seemed to love having the air blow on her.  She looked so happy!  Gracie belongs to Sarah, who runs Sarah Beth Photography.  After she picked up gracie, we went out for dinner with us while Gracie and Roxy stayed at our house.  We ate at Cafe 28 which is down the street from our house in Linden Hills and we saw the banners she designed for Woofstock.  We are really excited to be a sponsor of this great event.  Side note about Sarah Beth.. Mention the PPP and you save 10% on a session. Have a great night!

We're More than Doggy Daycare

So many of my blog posts focus on what goes in at Doggy Daycare, and I always seem to forget about the other services we offer like Training and our Spa / Grooming Services.  I am going to work harder to talk about these services, because I know many of you take advantage of them.  Today I had a meeting in our training room (I hate to meet in our office, so we use our training room as a office sometimes).  Heather had the first Play and Train session with Reagan today who is a golden retriever puppy.  We are the only doggy daycare to offer a play and train program.  You drop your dog off for a day of daycare and Heather will work 1 on 1 with your dog to achieve the behavior you want.  This is a great program and I love that so many of our customers take advantage of it. Have a great night.

Chester

Say hello to Chester, a White German Shepard.  Chester is a big fan of doggy daycare and enjoys hanging out in the Ruff House while at dog daycare. Last night we took our staff to Muddy Paws Cheesecake (Tami, one of our groomers owns it), for a fun night out.  Everyone got to make their own cheese cake.  Just wait until you heard what flavor I made.  I will tell you if it was any good after I taste it tomorrow.  It was a fun time and all of our staff really enjoyed it!

Have a good night.

Dupree needed a bath

Last night we received an email (complete with pictures) from Dupree's mom saying that he got into the trash and decided to eat a bunch of spaghetti sauce.  Jenny one of our groomers came in today and made sure Dupree was all cleaned up.  Dupree is a regular face around doggy daycare and the spa. Our lobby, staff lounge, and bathroom makeover is almost done.  The finished laying most of the floor today.  Again, we are so sorry for the mess, but it will look great when we are done.

We are also very busy getting ready for the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl.  Details will be out soon, but this will be something you will not want to miss.  You can join the fan page on Facebook. Our spa and grooming department was really busy today.  Tami groomed a bunch of dogs today and they all looked amazing.  Addi was one of the westies that went home looking great! Shhhh... Sleeping Puppies

Boxer Puppy at dog day care in edina,MNToday we had 2 very young boxer puppies that came to play at dog day care.  Casper, the white one is 13 weeks old and Bella is 4 months old.  Both Bella and Casper decided to take a nap together this afternoon.  They have different owners, but they are best friends at daycare. This afternoon Jenny was busy in our Spa grooming a bunch of dogs.

A few reminders about the cold weather, make sure to make your reservations in advance.  We fill up really fast when it is so cold out.

Have a good night.

Who is the smartest dog?

photoToday we decided that we should move nap time outside.  Simon the bulldog was the first to lay down, and then everyone else just followed him.  I really do love our group nap times. Trycia and I we were talking with Ash, one of our managers about which breed of dog is smartest.  This got me thinking and I really wanted to know, so thanks to Google, we now know who is the smartest.  We found a top 10 list, and I am not sure if it is right on, but it still makes for some good reading.

Tami our newest addition to the spa had her first day today!  She is great and we are so glad to have her working with us.  We now offer grooming for anyone who wants it (before, it was just for the daycare and hotel dogs).  Both Tami and Jenny are amazing groomers.

Have a good night.
