Finally Spring!

photoFinally!  Today is the first day that it really felt like Spring was here to stay!  Trycia's family was in town this weekend and we had fun showing them around the Twin Cities.  We always tell them how dog friendly Minneapolis is, but today they got to see it first hand!  We took Roxy shopping in Uptown, and everyone had so much fun!  The highlight was the Apple Store and I really have to give them credit for how dog friendly they are.  They have 2 water dishes right as you walk in!  Roxy loved it!  Just think.. Only a few more weeks until the dog friendly patios open!  Soon, we will give you our reviews of the best dog friendly patios in the Twin Cities. Have a good night!

Fun at the Uptown Art Fair

Uptown Art Fair, Minneapolis, MN - Dog FriendlyThe weather is perfect for the Uptown Art Fair this weekend!  Trycia and I were there yesterday with some of our friends.  As we were walking around we saw a bunch of our customers and their dogs at the fair.  I know I have mentioned this before, but I really LOVE how dog friendly Minneapolis is! Even some of the artists started getting into the "dog friendly city" by offering water and treats at their booths.  Hope everyone had a good weekend and that you were able to spend some quality time with your pooch! Apple Store and Drinks with Roxy

Roxy out for drinks in Minneapolis, MNTonight there was a dog friendly event at the Apple Store in Minneapolis (uptown).  Many of you know how much I love Apple, and all the employees were loving our  iPhone app, Pooch Vision (we were the first daycare and still one of the few that has their own app).  The Apple Store is always dog friendly, but it was pretty cool to see 30 dogs all behaved and having fun there!  Our friends from Sidewalk Dog gave a preview of their new website, and Sarah Beth Photography talked about how she edits photos on a Mac. After we left this great event, Trycia and I walked a few feet down the street and decided to stop and get a drink.  What I really love about Minneapolis is how dog friendly it is!  So here we are sitting on the patio drinking with Roxy next to us (well sometimes she decided it was a good idea to lay in the sidewalk!!).

Now I need to apologize for not blogging much this week!  I have been battling a pretty nasty sinus infection and just wanted to take it easy!!

Have a good night!

Sushi With Your Poochie

We always want to be part of fun dog events and the last 2 nights we sponsored Sushi With Your Poochie at Tiger Sushi in Uptown.  Both nights were HUGE success and everyone had so much fun.  Roxy was there last night and she had her paw read by the paw reader.  She said that Roxy is a very confident girl that loves to be the boss.  It was great to see so many of our customers there each night.  Look for another exciting event in August! Have a great day!

Max has grown!!

Say hello to Max the Bernese Mountain Dog.  His mom lives out of state and travels to Minneapolis for the summer and last summer he was a 6 month old puppy when he left to go back home for the winter.  When he walked in last week to check in for his hotel visit, i did not even recognize him because he is now full grown!!  Max is one energetic dog and enjoys playing in all the rooms!  Today we had 2 other Bernese Mountain Dogs and they were all laying down by each other.  By the time I ran to our office to get my phone to take a picture, they had moved! Hope everyone had a great weekend.  There are still a few tickets available for Sushi With Your Poochie tomorrow and Wednesday nights at Tiger Sushi in Uptown.

A Fun Filled Dog Event

Today we had a meeting with all of our dog business friends to talk about Sushi With Your Poochie which will take place at Tiger Sushi 2 in Uptown, Minneapolis later this month.  Tiger Sushi brought out lots and lots of sushi for us to sample and this place has an amazing patio that is right along the greenway bike trail.  The meeting went great and everything is going as planned for this awesome dog event.  Just a quick reminder, you need to have tickets to this event and it will sell out.  For more information click here and you can buy your tickets by clicking here.  Cool side note... We got to meet the "Tiger" in Tiger Sushi. Luna (in the picture) was one of the dogs that had a great time playing with all of her friends at doggy daycare today!  I think that Luna thinks that all the dogs are her friends and very rarely do you see her lay down.

Have a great night.

All tricked out

Today was a great day at doggy daycare and it was fun checking in all of our dogs that are boarding in the hotel for the weekend.  Everyone was so excited to come in and play with their friends. After work today, I had to swing by the brand new Apple store in Uptown, Minneapolis to pick up my exchanged iPhone 4.0.  The one I received 2 weeks ago was defective and needed to exchange it.  I was wearing my Pampered Pooch Playground shirt (I don't normally wear it in public), and one of the guys there remembered me from last time.  He had downloaded our new iPhone app and he was saying how cool it was.  While I was there, the cutest lab puppy walked in, and he showed them our app.  The Apple guy LOVED how we use technology to stay ahead of everyone.   If you have any ideas of things we can do, let me know.  I love doing new things.

One more tech note.. I got a text early this morning asking if the PPP was turning into Google... I don't want to tell you what they were referring to, but if you can guess what it was, there is a free bath involved for the first person to post the correct response.

Have a good 4th of July!

Roxy's uptown tour

There are so many dog friendly businesses in the Minneapolis area and today we took Roxy on an adventure!  First stop was the brand new Apple store that opened yesterday in Uptown.  This is first Apple store of the kind for Apple to open and it is AMAZING!  We got a private tour of the briefing room (which is all controlled by an iPad) and the rooftop garden!  What an AMAZING place and they are very dog friendly.  Almost every store employee stopped to say hi to Roxy!  While we there we showed off our iPhone app Pooch Vision which will have an update out this week. The Apple employees thought our app was pretty darn cool! You can see in the picture that Roxy would not stand still long enough to take a picture because she wanted to go back in and see everyone again! Next stop was Chiang Mai Thai which is right across the street.  We sat out on the patio with 2 other dogs.  They really enjoy having dogs on the patio and it shows!

I know we normally blog about stuff around the daycare, but sometimes I like to include other dog friendly info :)

Next stop for Ms. Roxy... The couch.  She is pooped!

Have a good day!
